Bernard Weatherill House wins top architectural award

Croydon’s new civic centre complex, Bernard Weatherill House, has triumphed at the UK Property Awards.

Release begins: The UK’s premier developers, architects and interior designers came together for the awards ceremony, which saw entries from hundreds of companies across the country.

Bernard Weatherill House, designed by EPR Architects, was a winner in the category for best office architecture in London, and now goes on to compete for the international awards. EPR’s design brief stated it would “create a building for the community that transforms the traditional perception of council offices into that of a thriving civic centre”.

Councillor Simon Hall, cabinet member for finance and treasury, said:

“Bernard Weatherill House is a fantastic building and I’m delighted it has received this award  Its design and architecture is among the very best in the country.”
