“We have been overwhelmed by the support from the local Croydon and business community.  There is real appetite for change, and people are starting to rethink their views of Croydon. Hopefully Boxpark will be a start of this revolution, and Croydon will keep going from strength to strength.” - Founder and CEO Roger Wade

Double the size of Shoreditch, Boxpark Croydon will be home to fiercely independent, fresh-thinking businesses with a strict ‘no high street fascia’ rule. Like Boxpark Shoreditch, it will be a fertile community of brands packed with raw talent and attitude – the difference being that this time it’s all about food, drink and events.

After a careful selection process, Boxpark are confident in the list of retailers selected, including 10% from Croydon.

For a taste of Vietnamese, Croydon local and brother to supermodel Kate Moss, Nick Moss will take his popular street food truck ‘Viet Do An’ to the next level with his first permanent shop.

“As a born and bred Croydon local, I am passionate about the regeneration that is now being made to my home town, and proud to be a part of Boxpark Croydon. Boxpark Croydon will not only offer opportunities for new and existing small businesses, like myself but it will also generate jobs, attract people who wouldn’t normally visit and above all change long standing perceptions of this vibrant town and its residents.” – Viet Do An Founder Nick Moss.

Bread Tree and Fish Wings & Tings will also be joining next summer, along with Mud Café who will take over 2 units on the ground floor.

Bringing their American style burgers, wings and cocktails to Croydon, MEAT Liquor will be splitting their concept to include both a MEAT restaurant and a LIQUOR bar.  “After Leeds, Singapore and Islington, we feel Croydon is the obvious next step. Our roots are South London so it’s a homecoming of sorts. What Roger and the team are doing with Boxpark and Croydon is pretty ballsy. We like that!” – MEAT Liquor Co-Founder Scott Collins.

Other retailers confirmed include Bhangra Burgers taking Indian influences and fusing it together with classic British foods, as well as Bukowski, Cookdaily and Bang Bang Vietnamese.

“Our aim with Boxpark Croydon was to become part of the fabric of local life by colour, creativity and life of it’s own. That aim is now starting to become a reality.”
