Clarence & Fredericks’ kicks off Christmas with Open Day to launch festive beer

Croydon’s microbrewers Clarence & Fredericks will be unveiling their festive ale at a special open day on Saturday 29 November.

Release begins: Simply called Barley Wine, the brewery’s 8.2% seasonal beer has a fruity aroma with an initial taste of pear drops followed by a bitterness and a solid malt flavour.

With only 25 casks available this year, visitors to the open day at the brewery on Neville Road can enjoy a special preview of this unique ale along with mince pies and other festive food.

Tickets for the open day, which runs from 12 to 4pm, cost £10 for a tour of the brewery and a few glasses of Clarence & Fredericks range of beers.
