Release begins: Following on from their own successful summer concert at the Fairfield Halls, South London members of the choir Popchoir are to sing with the vocal group, Blake, on Wednesday 24th September at the Ashcroft Theatre Croydon.

The choir, who sing a mix of pop songs from a range of artists including Adele, Coldplay and Jessie J, are very excited to have been asked to take part in the concert with Blake, having sung with them earlier this year in Bromley. Popchoir have also recently performed with the legendary rock group, Foreigner, for Sport Relief at the Olympic Park and at the  London Marathon.

Popchoir are probably best known for being featured on Josh Groban’s  music video “I Believe” which was released in 2013.

Popchoir founder and director Helen Hampton said,“We’re delighted that Blake has asked us to perform with them once again at their Croydon concert. As our name would suggest, we are known for our repertoire of pop songs, and so this gives us another opportunity to show our versatility as we crossover into the more classical sound of Blake. We’re also delighted to have the chance to sing again at the Fairfield Halls.”

Popchoir already has a busy diary for the winter including performances at the Ideal Home Show at Christmas and at St Paul’s Cathedral supporting AGE UK.
