Release begins: The activities are suitable for children up to 10 years old and will take place at The Oval Tavern, Oval Road, East Croydon from Monday 17th to Wednesday 19th August.

Did you know our bees are in trouble? Lack of habitat is affecting our bumble bees and a little mite is doing damage to our honeybee population. Bee Week will help children find out what bees do, why they are so important and have fun finding out how we can help them. Children can come and get buzzing with brilliantly bee themed arts, crafts, music, all sorts of hands on activities including honey tasting, candle making, making miniature gardens, games and of course lots of storytelling .

Sessions will be led by Storytime’s Jenny Lockyer who says: “The Oval Garden is packed full of bee friendly plants and flowers this summer and Bee Week is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the garden and and learn about bees at the same time.”

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Session times: Monday 17th August to Wednesday 19th August

11-1pm / 2-4pm

Each session has different activities.

Prices: £10 per session or £30 for the week.

Children under 1yr and accompanying adults go free.
