Release begins: Croydon’s Opportunity and Fairness Commission has announced that it will hold an Open Day on Tuesday 1st September at Croydon Conference Centre. The Open Day will be an opportunity for members of the public to directly contribute to the Commission’s work.

It will be an informal and friendly event. The day will include a rolling presentation about the Commission’s findings so far and the emerging priorities the Commission has identified.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak to Commissioners about their current ideas and contribute their own. Members of the public are strongly encouraged to drop in to make their voices heard.

The Open Day will be open to everyone – whether you are a charity, community group, or a resident.

The event will be held on Tuesday 1st September at the Croydon Conference Centre, from 2:30pm – 7:30pm.

The Commission is an independent body chaired by the Bishop of Croydon, Jonathan Clark, and run by 11 volunteer Commissioners.

The Open Day is one of the Commission’s many public engagement events where Commissioners are seeking to hear from local residents and organisations what they think needs to be done to make Croydon a fairer place with more opportunity.

It will publish its Interim Report in September, and its final report is due in January 2016.

All members of the public are welcome. Food and drinks will be provided.
