Release begins: Everyone is welcome to join the Poets’ Potager Group, that will meet up at 11am outside the Costa Café at East Croydon station on Saturday 2nd July at 11:00am then walk to West Croydon station, down North End, past Surrey Street and on to Wandle Park. There will be poetry reading at various sites along the way on a range of subjects including the Saffron Tower, the old Allders store, the Croydon Saffron Farm and the benefits and joys of the Croydon Tram system.

We will recite at least 12 poems outside the landmarks that they refer to, and we hope there might also be the odd Tale of Croydonia. If you wish to bring some food and drink (and the English weather is kind to us), you can then join us for a Poetic Picnic, and if not too poetically satiated, then attend The Poets’ Anonymous Event, which will take place at the bandstand in Wandle Park from 2pm.

If you have a poem about a place that could be on the route and would like to perform it, please us, including your poem.

The event is being organized by The Croydon Poets’s Potager Group. We can currently be found on Facebook.

If you have any queries, please .

Release ends.
