Release begins: Chinese dragons, music and dancers will entertain at the start of the Year of the Sheep, as local residents, shoppers and commuters dine on a fantastic range of quality world foods.

Platform, situated on Lansdowne Walk, is adjacent to the Stanhope and Schroders’ Ruskin Square development and is supported by the developers.

The re-launch of the weekly market at Platform – which is open every Thursday from 11am to 4pm – marks the start of an exciting annual programme of events, including the return of the big screen to show the tennis during Wimbledon fortnight.

The programme will build on the successes of last year, which culminated in the pop-up Christmas Cheers Bar and Christmas Family Fun Day.

Jason Margrave, Development Director at Stanhope plc, said:

It is great to see the Food Market back at Platform Ruskin Square. Chinese New Year will kick-start an exciting programme of events, offering those who live and work in and around Croydon a diverse choice of delicious food.  Platform has been a huge success since it opened last May, establishing Ruskin Square as a destination in its own right.”

The festivities are the latest activity to take place at Platform, designed by muf architects, which is being used to host community events and showcase local talent. With construction at Ruskin Square now underway, Platform will give Croydon a taste of what is to come from the ambitious new Ruskin Square development.

Release ends.
