Discover Chinese art and culture at Hale Man’s art studio in the Whitgift Centre

On Saturday 28th March artist Hale Man will welcome guests to her studio in the Whitgift Centre as part of her Croydon art project, Elements of Transformation.

Release begins: Immerse yourself in the space that celebrates Chinese Feng Shui’s, ‘Five Elements’ and Hale Man’s interpretation of transformation, through her visual artworks and paintings together with her special guests from China to explore this theme through Chinese songs, Chinese abacus mental Arithmetic and Chinese one stroke brush painting.

Hale Man Artist in Residence will be hosting a fabulous workshop with Shenmo Beijing artist Luo Yiming and introduces Li Mian Jun to demonstrate the Chinese Abacus mental arithmetic.

Activities on 28th March 2015:

11am- 11.40am – 1.30-2pm – Chinese Musical performance

She’s Choir UK  -    voice transformation five elements through Chinese song

Little Musicians:  learning music through song and movement

String Trio  Duo and Chinese Erhu

11.40- 1.00pm: Demonstration of the Chinese Abacus  Mental Arithmetic

2.10- 3.30pm: Demonstration One – stroke brush painting

3.30pm- 4pm: An interactive collaboration with  Hale Man, Luo Yi Ming  and audience
