Release begins: The project offers young entrepreneurs the opportunity to compete for a £50,000 prize fund worth of business products and services and is FREE to enter.

Young Start-up Talent was launched by founding partners Lorraine Nugent and Matt Turner in 2010 in the Gatwick Diamond and since then has been successful in helping to promote and encourage thousands of young people to have a ‘can do’ attitude towards starting up in business by a series of workshops and 121 sessions.

The project has grown from strength to strength since its inception with some 80 businesses sponsoring and supporting the initiative each year across the regions it currently operates such as RBS, British Airways, Gatwick Airport, Owadally & King accountants, Coast to Capital, Croydon Chamber of Commerce and Croydon BID to name a few. All have contributed to the fantastic prize fund of £50,000 worth of products and services to help the winner start up their business.

In September 2014 Lorraine and Matt (the founders of the project) were invited to represent the UK at the Youth Time Forum in Greece to showcase Young Start-up Talent with an overwhelming response from professionals all over the world to bring this initiative to their countries.

Not only does the initiative have a number of successes that have started up and are running successful businesses, a number of others have gone on to set up their companies or gain positions with sponsors who have seen their potential.
