Hit Edinburgh show coming to Croydon’s Spread Eagle pub theatre

By - Thursday 2nd April, 2015

Pianist and raconteur Will Pickvance is bringing his hit show, ‘Anatomy of the Piano’, to Croydon’s Spread Eagle theatre on Wednesday April 15th  as part of a national UK tour.

Release begins: The show, Anatomy of a Piano, was a huge hit at the Edinburgh Festival in both 2013 and 2014, selling out almost all performances. It combines Will’s brilliant piano playing with the wit and repartee that makes him an engaging raconteur, as he dissects the story of his instrument with music and personal anecdotes. He has since taken the show to Australia, USA, Italy and the Far East.

Anatomy of the Piano tells the story of the instrument in words and music interspersed with Will’s own stories about his life as a professional musician. Hear about the time he jammed with The Eagles, directed music for Ashley Judd’s wedding, almost accidentally became a member of Leo Sayer’s backing band and accompanied Robbie Williams in a rendition of his huge hit Angels at Williams’ surprise birthday party.

The Spread Eagle pub theatre is at 39-41 Katharine Street, Croydon, Surrey CR0 1NX and the box office can be contacted on 020 8781 1134.

Release ends.

Release sender: Steve Forster PR.
