Sixth Arts and Crafts Fair to be held in Exchange Square

By - Friday 17th October, 2014

This Saturday is the monthly Croydon Arts and Crafts Fair held in Exchange Square. The fair will have stalls selling jewellery, artwork, ceramics, cakes and more. The fair has also led to craft workshops being held.

Release begins: Croydon Arts and Crafts Fair now in to its sixth event this year. The fair will be in its established location of Exchange Square in front of the historic pumping station and we expect a good turn out of traders hoping to capitalise on some early Christmas shopping trade.

The fair has seen a good selection of products during its lifetime with ceramics, artwork, jewellery, skin care products, vintage clothing, home made cakes, pickles and sauces, terrariums, up cycled rubber bags and custom made pens to name a few. Several traders have had a stall for the first time and have gained in confidence from trading and being supported by their fellow traders with help and advice. One trader has even made the step up to trading on a regular basis in Surrey Street.

There’s even been a spin off with a craft workshop coming in to being that has enabled some attendees to use a sewing machine for the first time and make some simple items such as lavender bags. Sewing, knitting, crocheting and looming are just some of the skills that can be learnt. We hope to see the workshops grow in popularity as there is a strong interest from people in getting involved and learning a new life-long skill.

Please come along and pay the fair a visit this weekend.

Release ends.
