Free live music event at LNK unit tomorrow

Tomorrow the LNK unit will play host to a free live music event for the community called ‘Positive Summer Vibes’. The event promises to include food, debating and live graffiti as well as performances from several local artists.

Location: Lives Not Knives unit, Centrale

Time: 10am – 6pm

Young People are putting on a Free Live Music Event for the Community!

On July 26th, the LNK unit will play host to the live music event, Positive Summer Vibes, which will be open for all members of the community to attend.

Positive Summer Vibes is a free music event for young people, put on by the young people. It is being organised by the Creative Futures team, in association with the organisations Agencia and Lives Not Knives. To find out more about Lives Not Knives, please visit their website:

The event will run from 10am until 6pm, allowing young people to listen to live music, get involved in energetic debates, eat good food and stock up on Mula Cake fashion. Everyone will enjoy the sounds of Logic, Ragz-CV, Amy True, Deep Vocalz, Anjelo Disons and Tubby Boy.

Hip Hop artist, Rodney P, who has been leading out on the Creative Futures programme said: “An event like Positive Summer Vibes is all about empowering the young people… I’m expecting big things, not just from the 26th, but from the young people going forward”.

Inno Tshikwaya, a 19-year-old member of the Creative Futures team said: “Don’t get lazy, it’s summer. Come in and have fun.” 24-year-old Ijeoma Osondu said: “It will be a good event with a variety of things to do. There’s something for everyone.”
