Steve Reed, MP Croydon North & Gavin Barwell, MP Croydon Central to debate #Croydon #TechCity

By - Thursday 20th March, 2014

In little under sixteen months, Croydon Tech City has grown from an idea in a blogpost to an internationally-recognised, 1,000-strong movement of tech founders, venture capitalists, creatives and software developers; all of whom are united under Croydon Tech City’s vision to become the ‘Silicon Valley of South London’.

Croydon Tech City is now on the national agenda – from garnering Boris’ attention in City Hall to being the subject of studies by central government. Yet, closer to home, Croydon Tech City’s impact is being felt in profound ways -holding significant sway over Croydon’s economy, property market, infrastructure, education, inward investment and global positioning.

As such, it is only appropriate that Croydon’s two most prominent MPs take to the stage to discuss the implications of Croydon’s burgeoning technology sector – both positive and negative – and how both parties are supporting Britain’s digital economy.

The evening is open to all and there is no admittance fee. There will be an extended opportunity for Q&As with the MPs.

Registration is required: either by signing up to the event on Eventbrite or with your name to confirm your attendance.
