An introduction to the world of mobile gaming

Albert Marshall spend over a decade as a top legal expert at Sony Entertainment before seizing the opportunity to get into the startup world with mobile gaming startup, QuizTix.

Gameplay is available offline, and when online players can ask for assistance from others via Facebook and Twitter. Players can share their exploits for all to see and can compete against their friends, across multiple quiz subjects.

GoCarShare is a service built around Facebook and helps you share car journeys with your extended social network.

You can login quickly and look at people’s profiles before deciding whether you would like to travel with them. Not on Facebook? That’s fine, you can easily register and use the service through the website. The aims of the startup are to reduce the amount of cars on the rode, reduce carbon emissions and foster social encounters whilst helping participants to save money.

Connecting sports enthusiasts to real-time venue vancancies and helping councils manage sports facilities

OpenPlay is a unique sports marketplace to connect sports facilities to individuals. You can easily find, book or list your sports facilities across London.

Sam will be talking to us about what inspired the idea and how he’s also pushing for local councils (including Croydon Council) to work with his company to better manage municipal sports assets.

Jonny Rose is a committed Christian who has lived in the Croydon area for nearly twenty years. He is an active participant in his local community, serving at Grace Vineyard Church and organising Purley Breakfast Club, and was ranked "Croydon's 37th most powerful person" by the Croydon Advertiser (much to his amusement). He is the Head of Content at marketing technology company Idio, the founder of the Croydon Tech City movement, a LinkedIn coach, and creator of Croydon's first fashion label, Croydon Vs The World.
