With Kit’s unique experience working in the mayor’s office, few people are able to provide such as insightful perspective into the relevancy of tech in the modern economy and Croydon’s role as a tech city.

The Vice Developer Who Is Building His Own Media Platform


Ben Bowler is an up-and-coming developer who works for edgy publication Vice Magazine during the day, and builds his own media empire by night.

He’s currently creating Chew.TV – an early stage mobile video-streaming service for live music festivals and artists. Part media distribution network, part tech product – this will sure to be a great session for music enthusiasts and techies alike!

One Year On: The Last 365 Days Of A Croydon Tech Entrepreneur


Steve Bardouille is the creator of Famberry – a social network and family tree builder.

He last spoke at Croydon Tech City exactly a year ago. This session will look back on the various successes and pitfalls the last year has brought to the tech entrepreneur’s life and will serve as a great example for anyone interested in becoming a tech entrepreneur themselves!

Jonny Rose is a committed Christian who has lived in the Croydon area for nearly twenty years. He is an active participant in his local community, serving at Grace Vineyard Church and organising Purley Breakfast Club, and was ranked "Croydon's 37th most powerful person" by the Croydon Advertiser (much to his amusement). He is the Head of Content at marketing technology company Idio, the founder of the Croydon Tech City movement, a LinkedIn coach, and creator of Croydon's first fashion label, Croydon Vs The World.
