The Croydon Citizen is turning one – and we want you to celebrate with us

It’s been quite a first year for the Citizen. From humble beginnings, we’ve grown to over sixty contributors. Our readership is growing and followers continually increasing. With any luck, the debate we stimulated, the issues we tackled and the great projects we highlighted are already making a difference to Croydon life.

So we’re throwing a party to celebrate – and you’re invited.

The event will take place on Thursday 14th November in the workspace area at Matthews Yard, with doors opening at 7pm, and the event itself starting at 7:30pm. Many contributors and regular readers are already attending, and we would like to make the event open for all in the community – that’s the Citizen way!

The event will be hosted by the editorial team, compèred by Editor-in-Chief James Naylor. We’ll be taking a light-hearted look back at our first year and making some very exciting announcements. There will also be the opportunity to direct some questions at the editorial team, and, after we’re all finished, socialise with fellow attendees.

And if that wasn’t enough – your first drink is on us!

If you would like to attend, please RSVP to at your earliest convenience. Feel free to bring along friends, family, colleagues, political enemies and potential contributors!

We’ve been delighted so far with how the Croydon community has responded to and engaged with The Croydon Citizen – we couldn’t have done it without you. So come along and help us celebrate as we prepare for an even greater 2014.

James, Rob, Tom, Tom, Raj.
