Exciting times for the Croydon Citizen, with more copies now available and new dispensers at central Croydon stations

This Christmas the Croydon Citizen celebrates its third birthday and two years since we went into print – and what a three years it’s been. We’ve recruited over 180 keen citizen contributors, distributed an unbelievable 210,000 papers, and gained 60 distribution points right across the borough from Crystal Palace to Coulsdon and from Waddon to New Addington. We’d like to thank all of the writers and readers who’ve played a part in our story so far. We’re proud to give the citizens of Croydon the opportunity to speak out, share, argue and debate everything that’s happening here – whatever the future holds, we believe that the energy, enthusiasm and engagement of our town is unquestionable and a credit to us all.

Now it’s time for the Citizen to go up a gear. From this month we’re increasing our circulation by 50% to 15,000 copies. Some of you may already have seen our stylish new paper dispensers at East and West Croydon stations and in North End, making the paper available around the clock in the town centre. We plan to roll out more dispensers across the borough during 2016.

Looking for a copy of the Citizen? Take a look here to find your nearest location, and if there’s somewhere that you think we ought to be then please let us know via . We’re always on the look-out for new hotspots.

A very merry Christmas and a happy new year to all Croydonians.
